She writes, ’My friend John Gould was head of Promotions at EMI . He invited me on the ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ to celebrate the re release of the album. They hired a coach for EMI staff and friends we were given the t shirts to wear. We had beverages and the music from the album playing and left Manchester Square not knowing where we were going! As co-captain of the Dream Team, Bird was both a symbol of American basketball and a guiding presence for a roster that permanently reshaped the global game. This jersey was worn on August 2, 1992, during the final group stage game against Spain. Team USA won 122–81, with Bird contributing 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
