Monique VEDIÉ
1970s
Pair of ear clips in silver metal and Talosel of various shades of pink.
Unsigned
Dimensions: 4 x 4 x 3 cm.
Monique Védié, born in 1924, was a pupil of Line Vautrin, a jewellery designer and manufacturer, from the 1950s to 1990, when she sold her company. After graduating from the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Appliqués in Paris and a brief period at Victor Linton in Tourrettes-sur-Loup, where craftsmen from all regions and countries worked in close collaboration with the Parisian Haute Couture, she opened her own company.
Her jewellery is made of cellulose acetate, an ultra-light material, and is extremely poetic, often inspired by flora and fauna.
