American, late 1940s and early 1950s
The first a blue silk faille ballerina length dinner dress with wide square front and back neckline, short sleeves and elaborate layered petal skirt, size 6, labeled: Bergdorf Goodman On The Plaza/New York and dated 1950, the second of black silk faille with long tight zippered sleeves, padded shoulders, the surplice bodice fitted, with V neck, and sewn with folded standaway side panels that extend into collar folding over at back neck, two large buttons sewn on the diagonal above and below waist, full skirt padded at hips, modern patent leather belt, size 6, labeled: Jacques Fath of Paris-New York/Designs for Joseph Halpert.
Each very good condition, net supporting petals on first tearing, abraded area at back of second.
