Two Anne Klein and Anne Klein for Junior Sophisticates Designs
American, 1960s
Each plaid of navy, red and green, the first a bias plaid long pant skirt lined in red faille, belt tabs at interior waistband, size 6, labeled: Anne Klein and company, the second a herringbone plaid whipcord suit comprising a straight short skirt and hip length boxy jacket with band neckline, slit pockets in side seams, center front closure with hammered metal round buttons, navy silk crepe lining, size 6, labeled: A Junior Sophisticates Original.
Each in very good condition, the first with broken zip.
The first was included in the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute exhibit American Ingenuity, 1996.
