French, circa 1970
Patterned with two vertically aligned folkloric inspired wheel patterns, one at front and back of dress, the other on sleeves and at sides, in shades of tan, pink and gray on black ground, the long sleeves of sheer chiffon, the raised waist defined by two-tone pleated chiffon band extending into long sashes at back, center front silver pinwheel ornament, size 6, labeled: Ophelie/382 rue St. Honore/Paris.
Excellent condition.
The dress was worn to a charity ball in Monaco hosted by Princess Grace.
