Schiaparelli Black Silk Ottoman Evening Coat French, late 1940s
French, late 1940s
The full trapezoidal coat falling at back into soft folds from shoulders, with sleeves set in at dropped shoulder, high band collar, angled pockets with flaps, closing with large irregularly shaped translucent brown resin(?) buttons, size 6, labeled: Schiaparelli/21. place vendome/Paris, number on tape label 9(?)2624.
Excellent condition.
The coat is from the wardrobe of Margaret Thompson Biddle.
