A Lacis linen coverlet, Italian, 16th or early 17th century, the knotted ground embroidered with angular patterns, worked in three vertical and one horizontal edging band with pairs of unicorns, acanthus scrolls and urns, kneeling figures and crouching beasts, interspersed with borders of golden silk embroidery, 239 by 167cm not illustrated This panel was included in an exhibition of textiles at Highclere Castle in 1930.
