A good pair of Harvey Nichols embroidered lavender satin slippers, 1890s, stamped ’made in Paris especially for Harvey Nichols & Co. Knightsbridge W.S.’, with padded yellow satin interiors, the uppers embroidered with forget-me-nots and daisies, 20cm, 8in long; together with a pair of kid leather gloves, 1890s; a pair of Amba, London, black suede and gold leather shoes, 1933, and three handwritten notes relating to provenance (9)



Provenance: From the estate of costume designer Lisa Benjamin. The slippers and gloves belonged to and were worn by her Grandmother, Julia Benjamin. The pair of 1933 shoes were worn by Barbara Accoyne Betholl, neé Barrett, for her wedding day on December 21st, 1933.
