A couture ivory chiffon beaded flapper dress, probably Maison Worth, circa 1928, un-labelled, the ground covered with white seed beads in a scrolling motif, beaded fringes of cut bugle beads to the tiered skirt and over-bodice, spangled with paste stones and with web of cut-chiffon straps to rear bodice, bust 86cm, 34in A stylistically similar example attributed to the House of Worth is held by the Kent State Museum and was exhibited in ’The Jazz Age: American Style in the 1920s’ at the Cleveland Museum of Art, September 2017 - January 2018.
