 ru (also known as Gnyuki) studied architecture before training as a textil
 e engineer\, a dual foundation that profoundly shaped his approach to fash
 ion. He moved to London in 1964 and attended the London College of Fashion

 eral major fashion houses\, including Pierre Cardin. In 1972\, he launched
