In 1954, the House of Paquin merged with the House of Worth. A nearly identical gown to this one is in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum, accession no. T.214&A-1973, with a Worth label. The gown in the V&A was designed by Owen Hyde Clark for Worth London, and the embellishment is to silk dupion rather than silk faille.
Paquin-Worth closed in 1956.
