Pierre Bergé and Doris Brynner were connected through a friendship and through their involvement in the worlds of fashion, luxury, and the arts. They were photographed together on several occasions, notably at various performances by tenor Plácido Domingo in Paris, at an ANDAM dinner in 2011, at the Musée d’Orsay’s annual dinners, and during major charitable events.
