 October 22\, 2025\, during the Kia NBA Tip-Off\, when the Memphis Grizzlie
 s played the New Orleans Pelicans.\n\nEdey was inactive for this game. The
  Grizzlies beat the Pelicans\, 128-122.\n\nZach Edey emerged from an impre
 ssive college career at Purdue\, where he was a two-time Naismith College 
 Player of the Year known for his dominant interior presence\, exceptional 
 rebounding\, and efficient scoring around the basket. The Memphis Grizzlie
 s selected Edey with the ninth overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.\n\nIn t
 he NBA\, Edey quickly established himself as a force in the paint. His siz
 e\, wingspan\, and natural instincts made him an immediate impact player o
 n both ends of the floor\, anchoring the defense and providing reliable in
 terior scoring. His physicality and ability to alter shots have proven to 
 be valuable assets for Memphis as the team continues to build around its y
 oung core.\n\nDuring the 2024–25 season\, Edey averaged 9.2 points\, 8.3
  rebounds\, and 1 assist per game\, earning NBA All-Rookie First Team hono
 rs. His consistent production and presence in the post solidified his repu
 tation as one of the league’s most promising young centers.
