The Turkish phenom, Şengün, has gained the honorable nickname, ’Baby Jokic.’ He has represented the Turkish national team since playing for their U-16 team in 2018 where they won a bronze medal at the FIBA Europe U-16 Championship. He also led the Turkey U-18 team to a silver medal at the FIBA Europe U-18 Championship and played for professional teams in Turkey before being drafted by the Rockets in 2021.

Coming off his first All-Star season, Şengün is set to serve as the Rockets’ anchor in the paint, joining a roster that now includes future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant. Expectations are sky high for this young team.
