NIKE, NIKE DUNK HIGH, SIZE 10
Rubber, Leather, Cotton, Synthetic
2008
In 2008, Nike released the ‘Japan City’ pack. An exclusive release, the pack consisted of four different Nike Dunks, each representing the unique cultural aspects of four iconic Japanese cities.
The ’Nagoya’ Dunk High captures the essence of Nagoya Castle and its gold dolphin statue. Dressed in a gold patent leather upper, the pair features green accents emulating the castle’s design.
Originally released in 1985, Nike introduced the Nike Dunk as the premier basketball sneaker in college basketball. The colorways for the series were based on successful programs around the nation. Kentucky, Michigan, UNLV, Syracuse, St. John’s, Villanova, and Iowa all received their own signature shoe. The 1985 Nike ads featured the sneakers with a tagline ‘Be True to Your School,l’ giving fans an opportunity to support their team from head to toe.
