The Louis Vuitton ‘LV Trainer’ was first presented during Virgil Abloh’s debut Spring-Summer 2019 show, and has become a staple menswear sneaker. The iconic design was inspired by vintage basketball sneakers.
In the behind-the-scenes of the Fall-Winter 2019 Louis Vuitton show, Virgil can be seen handling what appears to be a prototype version of the ATS Light Up Trainer. The prototypes were also included in the show.
Bridging the gap between technology and footwear, this Louis Vuitton X408 LED Fiber Optic Light Up Trainer consists of a black high-top silhouette with LED accents throughout. An experimental design, the release was produced in limited quantities. The pair sits atop a rubber outsole and features an ankle strap labeled “ADVANCED TECH SYSTEM”.
The LED lights are fully operational, and the pair comes with charging cables.
