  Country Club in Medinah\, Illinois\, the 2012 Ryder Cup—dubbed the “M
 iracle at Medinah”—stands as a defining moment of teamwork\, resilienc
 e\, and competitive spirit on the world stage.\n\nThe 2012 Ryder Cup saw E
 urope fall as far as 10-4 down on Saturday before Luke Donald and Sergio G
 arcía added a much needed point for Europe and Rory McIlroy and Ian Poult
 er staged a comeback from down two with six to play for Europe’s sixth p
 oint\, including an incredible display of nerves by Ian Poulter\, who sank
  five consecutive birdie putts to secure Europe’s sixth point and keep h
 opes\, however slim\, alive for Sunday.\n\nThose hopes came true. Entering
  the final day trailing the United States 10–6\, Europe mounted a stunni
 ng Sunday comeback\, winning 8½ of the 12 singles matches to clinch an im
 probable 14½–13½ victory and retain the Ryder Cup. Led by captain Jos
 é María Olazábal and inspired by the memory of the late Seve Ballestero
 s\, the European side displayed extraordinary composure under immense pres
 sure\, with standout performances from players such as Ian Poulter\, Rory
